Research Summary
My research focuses on understanding the multi-scale complexity, heterogeneity, and plasticity of diseased – inflamed, pre-cancerous, cancerous, and metastatic – microenvironments. I study these microenvironments using computational and systems biology approaches, pursuing both discovery-based and hypothesis-driven research to unravel their intricacies, with the ultimate goal of translating these biological insights into the clinic. My lab has a hybrid (wet/dry) setup and draws on diverse disciplines, including cancer biology, immunology, molecular and cellular biology, bioimaging and image analysis, machine learning and bioinformatics, and physics and mathematics.
